These are fun to make with the kids (and grownups too!) and depending on the age of your children, they could enjoy making these themselves. They can definitely mix the chocolate into the cornflakes and make lots of mess spooning the mixture into the cases…enjoy
Ingredients:
- 50g butter
- 100g milk chocolate
- 3 tbsp golden syrup
- 100g cornflakes
- Smarties to decorate – or mini eggs for Easter
Method:
- Melt the butter, chocolate and golden syrup in a bowl over a pan of simmering hot water. Stir occassionaly to stop it sticking to the bottom.
- Allow to cool a little, then pour over the cornflakes and stir gently so that all the cornflakes are covered in chocolate.
- Spoon into cake cases, decorate with smarties.
- Put the cakes in the fridge to set, then watch them disappear.
