This weeks highlights..

So what have I been up to this week… I had my first attempt at making a Panettone didn’t realise how long they took to make, but it was worth it in the end.  The citrus and candied fruit bread smelt amazing as it was cooking, will definitely be making another one.

Making  Chocolate and vanilla marble cake are great fun to make, swirling the mixtures around to make different patterns and whats great is that everytime you make them they never look the same.

If you’ve never made a risotto, give it a try, it might feel like it takes a long time, but the end result is worth it.  I also find it quite calming to make…I know it sounds strange but slowly adding the stock and watching the rice slowly absorb all the liquid can be very relaxing.

There’s nothing better than the smell of a  homemade quiche.  This tasty Bacon and Leek Quiche is perfect to be eaten hot or cold for lunch the next day.

Last of all, if everytime you make rice it seems to be stodgy, have go at this Tumeric rice. Since finding this recipe in Nigella Lawson’s At Table recipe book it’s taught me how to cook rice.

Hope you all have a great week ahead of you.
