Lets start with whats not going so well…..Photography! so I think I will look into doing some research about how to take photos and possibly look into a course, think this will be my next challenge. I cooked one dinner this week, plaice fillets with soy and chilli glaze, dinner was delicious, but the photos looked awful, that bad I was too embarrassed to add them to my website, so will enjoy cooking the dinner again and having another go.
I was cooking a recipe earlier this week and kept have to change the settings on the google convertor, would have been nice to have had this in one place, so I pulled together these conversion tables, which I found useful later this week. Top tip: don’t mix them up, you need to stick to either metric or imperial.
I love making Madras lamb curry, it’s so quick and simple and smells amazing. If I have a lot of time, I cook this in the slow cooker so that the lamb just falls apart.
It’s that time of year when comfort foods are needed and what best to have some tasty grilled cumberland sausages, tomatoes served with cauliflower cheese on the side.
By mid-week if I want a quick and easy dinner with a hint of spice then meatballs in a spicy tomotoey sauce ticks all the boxes, served with some garlic bread to mop up the remaining sauce.
My most popular post was pork chops in apple gravy, though I’m not surprised as this dinner is delicious, squashing roast potatoes into the sweet apple gravy is heaven.
And finally, for those afternoon tea catch-ups, why not try Mini mint choc chip cakes these tiny little bites will definitely get you…along with these buttery Viennese Jammy Whirls and then there are the Bakewell Slices with the sweet jam and almondy sponge topping is perfect with a cuppa tea.
Have a great week ahead of you…
